Work with Outset to create volunteering opportunities

Outset is always looking to develop new partnerships and create new opportunities for our young volunteers. Whether your placement is a one off, part time or full time, we can advertise it to our volunteers throughout West Sussex.

Outset volunteers have worked in libraries, youth centres, hospitals, care homes and numerous other organisations doing things from website design to re-decorating. With so many young people in West Sussex keen to develop their skills and enhance their CV’s they are a valuable and enthusiastic addition to any work force.

Before a volunteer has been placed, an Outset staff member will carry out a health and safety check and ensure that the opportunity is appropriate for the volunteer. Outset staff maintain regular contact with organisations and volunteers and are always available for advice and consultation.

Already have volunteers

If your organisation already works with young people we can provide them with a v certificate for their volunteering or help them gain a Youth Achievement Award.


Advertising your opportunities

As well as recruiting volunteers ourselves from schools, youth clubs and other places we regularly upload details of volunteering opportunities to the National Volunteering Database (NVD), which are then available to the public from the do-it website www.do-it.org.uk where potential volunteers are able to find opportunities that match their interests.

Partial details of the organisation offering the opportunity are also uploaded such as the name and purpose of your organisation and your activities. None of this information will be sent to the NVD until you have provided us with details of a volunteering opportunity. When you do this you have the option to request that the opportunity is not uploaded to the NVD.
