v is the youth volunteering charity who exist to inspire a new generation of young people aged 16-25 to get involved in volunteering and create a lasting change in the quality, quantity and diversity of youth volunteering.

v’s aim is to create a culture where it is natural for young people to volunteer, and natural for organisations to support them in doing so, because the benefits of volunteering are widely understood and celebrated.

v have split the vinvolved scheme into two strands vinvolved teams and vinvolved projects. The teams will create volunteer opportunities with partner organisations and broker young people into opportunities. The projects will directly deliver volunteering opportunities.

Each authority in England will have a vinvolved team, with smaller authorities having a two person team and larger authorities a five person team. These teams will consist of Youth Volunteer Development Managers (YVDM) and Youth Volunteer Advisers (YVA). The Managers will work with partner organisations to create opportunties and the Advisers will work with young people to support them to find a volunteering opportunity.
