Awards and recognition
Outset offers
a variety of awards to recognise your volunteering
contribution and to boost your CV.
Outset
Certificates
Outset
volunteers aged 13 to 15 are awarded certificates
reflecting their commitment to volunteering throughout
West Sussex. Outstanding achievements can be recognised
at celebration events and our annual general meeting.

Youth Achievement Awards
The Youth Achievement Awards are activity-based awards
designed to encourage young people to take more
responsibility in selecting, planning and leading
activities.
The Youth Achievement Awards were introduced nationally
in 1997 and are already well established in a wide range
of youth organisations, schools and educational
projects.
These awards work at four levels, Bronze, Silver, Gold
and Platinum. Each level reflects the amount of
responsibility you take on. For example, Bronze means
you have taken part in a volunteering opportunity
whereas gaining a Platinum award recognises you have
designed and run the opportunity yourself.

v Awards
v is introducing a new recognition scheme for
volunteers aged 16 to 25, to recognise and reward you
for the amazing things you do.
If you volunteer with a v funded project you will
receive a thank you certificate which recognises that
you have given your time to make a difference in your
community. You’ll also get the chance to work towards a
v50 Award, which involves completing 50 hours of
volunteering. You’ll get a log book and folder to help
you keep track of your volunteering activities, and
record the skills you’ve gained.
Once you’ve completed 50 hours of volunteering, simply
present your log book and folder to a vinvolved project
or vinvolved team, who can issue your v50
certificate.
